Elkhart Openings


Area Director

Location: Elkhart Club

Full Time/Salary Exempt – Benefit Package

Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm Mon – Fri., Schedule may fluctuate week to week

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of supervisory experience required. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a role overseeing school-aged children in a group supervision setting. Reliable transportation, safe driving record, driver license, and automobile insurance required.

  • Works with the Unit board and subcommittees to plan, organize and implement special events to support the mission of the Club, including procurement of sponsorships and maintaining positive donor relationships
  • Manages and monitors the Club sites to ensure a healthy and safe environment and that all equipment and supplies are well maintained; ensures compliance with organizational policies
  • Assists Human Resources with recruiting, selecting assigned staff and volunteers, ensuring productive and effective performance; ensures compliance with organization policies; manages and provides professional development for staff and volunteers
  • Maintains daily communication with the Program Manager and Site Supervisors to receive and provide information, discuss issues, explain or interpret guidelines/instructions and advise or seek counsel; provides Senior management with department updates and solicit feedback as needed
  • Maintains communication as needed with school personnel, members, parents, community partners and Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County departments to promote and ensure programs and services are meeting established standards and requirements

Goshen Openings


Cafeteria Assistant (1 Needed)

Hours: 2:30pm – 6:30pm Mon. – Fri. 20 hours per week

Location: Goshen Boys & Girls Club; Goshen

Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Previous experience in food preparation preferred.

Duties : Assists with preparing, serving, and delivery of food/snacks to appropriate location. Able to follow safe-serve procedures and help clean-up in cafeteria areas. Confirm food handling and preparation procedures are followed, area is kept free from hazards, and that equipment is in good working condition. Physically able to lift, push, pull, carry or otherwise move objects between 15-25 pounds on a regular basis. At times objects can be as heavy as 40 pounds.

Middlebury Openings


Education Program Coordinator

Location: Middlebury Boys & Girls Club; Middlebury

Minimum 30 under 40 hours per week/Benefit Package

Hours: 12:30pm – 6:30pm Monday – Friday, 30 hours per week

Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors preferred. Minimum of one year of administrative experience working with children and adults, program implementation and management, and scheduling and leading staff. First Aid and CPR Certifications preferred.

Duties: Implement activities and ensure that planned activities meet the needs and interests of children, maintain quality condition of supplies, equipment and materials, and maintain a safe and healthy environment, adhere to the Boys & Girls Club standards, policies and procedures, maintain up-to-date records of attendance, activity planning, etc., daily schedules, perform administrative tasks, such as filling out reports, forms, etc. as assigned, communicate and relate to staff, parents and supervisors in professional manner and attitude, report any suspect abuse to supervisor.

Games Room Program Coordinator

Location: Middlebury Boys & Girls Club; Middlebury

Minimum 30 under 40 hours per week/Benefit Package

Hours: 12:30pm – 7:00pm Monday – Thursday; 12:30pm — 6:30pm Friday, 32 hours per week

KidsCare Openings


Program Manager

Physical Location: KidsCare; Concord Intermediate School

Responsible For: Cleveland, Mary Daly, Mary Feeser, Roosevelt and Woodland Elementary School locations

Full Time/Salary Exempt – Benefit Package

Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm Mon – Fri., Schedule may fluctuate week to week

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of supervisory experience preferred. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a role overseeing school-aged children in a group supervision setting. Minimum of 2 years’ previous management experience working with parents, staff and children, child care administrator, school personnel, implementing a budget and conducting program evaluations. Reliable transportation, safe driving record, driver license, and automobile insurance required. Pre-employment drug screening, background, reference and driver’s record checks are required.

Duties:

  • Responsible for training and supervising staff, aides and volunteers dealing with parents, representing the program within the organization and in the community.
  • Responsible for attendance tracking and incident reporting and follow up.
  • Responsible for overall management of KidsCare fee collections with  assurance of timely, properly documented receipts and that the standards for sound cash management as indicated in the “Cash Handling, Billing, Payment and Collection Procedures” policy are consistently followed.
  • Maintain the health and safety of all children in assigned area by assuring that members understand and follow the behavioral expectations, that the room is well lit, ventilated, clean and free from hazards, that equipment is in good working condition and that members are trained in its use, that strangers are greeted at the entrance to the area and that there is an understanding of and readiness to implement emergency procedures.
  • Communicate a philosophy to staff that is consistent with overall goals and objectives of the program.
  • Exemplify all necessary leadership qualities.
  • Demonstrate skill and knowledge of child care management and staff supervision.
  • Communicate and relate to staff, parents and supervisors in professional manner and attitude.
  • Maintain daily open communicate with parents.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Create an on-going message in all programs and interactions that members need to make appropriate choices about their educational, personal, physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
  • Assure that members are held accountable for their behavior. Continually model and teach character, morals and ethics. Build positive relationships with parents of members.
  • Act as an advocate of our members and the organization, both inside and outside of the Boys & Girls Club / KidsCare.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as completing reports, forms, etc. as assigned.
  • Follow all procedures covered in the Operations Manual and any instructions given by supervision.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Location: Orchard View Elementary School; Middlebury

Minimum 30 under 40 hours per week/Benefit Package

Hours: 5:15am – 7:45am; 1:45pm – 5:45pm Monday – Friday, 33 hours per week

Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors preferred. Minimum of one year of administrative experience working with children and adults, program implementation and management, and scheduling and leading staff. First Aid and CPR Certifications preferred.

Duties: Implement activities and ensure that planned activities meet the needs and interests of children, maintain quality condition of supplies, equipment and materials, and maintain a safe and healthy environment, adhere to the Boys & Girls Club standards, policies and procedures, maintain up-to-date records of attendance, activity planning, etc., daily schedules, perform administrative tasks, such as filling out reports, forms, etc. as assigned, communicate and relate to staff, parents and supervisors in professional manner and attitude, report any suspect abuse to supervisor.

Minimum 30 under 40 hours per week/Benefit Package

Hours: 5:15am – 8:00am; 2:15pm – 5:45pm Monday – Friday, 32.50 hours per week

Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors preferred. Minimum of one year of administrative experience working with children and adults, program implementation and management, and scheduling and leading staff. First Aid and CPR Certifications preferred.
